Business Development Manager Opportunity

As a Business Development Manager based in Hong Kong, your primary objective is to create and drive the implementation of business development plans to attract the next generation of accounting professionals and achieve sustainable growth in designated markets. This involves developing and executing growth strategies, building strong partnerships with regulatory bodies, employers, and training providers in these markets.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing relationships with senior decision makers and stakeholders to access customers through a business-to-business process
  • Understanding market needs and building relationships with tertiary providers and employers across various industry sectors to deliver on the strategy
  • Implementing new member recruitment activities in line with the strategic plan to achieve challenging growth targets and annual Key Performance Indicators
  • Identifying and closing negotiations with potential clients to gain revenue opportunities
  • Supporting the team to identify key decision makers, understand their needs, and build valued relationships for business development targets
  • Maintaining accurate records of organization information, including key stakeholders and contact details
  • Developing and implementing account plans for top-tier employers and providing individual reports as requested
  • Designing and delivering career development and employability workshops to present a value proposition to prospective students, universities, and employers
Required Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma or degree in accounting or finance, preferably with a relevant professional qualification
  • At least 3 years of experience in business development and account management with a proven track record of growing customer bases
  • 2 years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Strong project management or event planning skills beneficial
  • Profound understanding of the market landscape in Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan
  • Excellent English language skills and fluency in Chinese preferred

A bonus would be having:

  • Strong writing, copywriting, or editing skills in Simplified/Traditional Chinese and English
  • Multicultural literacy skills
