Seeking a Dedicated Anaesthetist

We are looking for a skilled Consultant Anaesthetist to provide high-quality anaesthetic care to patients in rural and remote areas of Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive clinical service, governance, and leadership in Anaesthetics to promote quality health outcomes for patients of WA Country Health Service.
  • Ensure the provision of comprehensive anaesthetic service and airway management to patients.
  • Provision of anaesthetic services for patients having surgical, medical, obstetric, or investigational procedures, including continuous monitoring during such procedures.
  • Pre-operative assessment and early post-operative care of patients.
  • Supervision of anaesthesia trainees and other staff as appropriate.

Requirements:
  • AHPRA registration.
  • Fellowship of the Australasian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetics, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in anaesthesia in general, obstetrics, paediatric, and emergency anaesthesia.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the rural anaesthesia setting.
  • Ability to work as an effective team member.
  • Highly developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the Aboriginal Cultural Respect Framework.
