Drive Operational Efficiency in Learning

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia, a leading provider of integrated financial services, is seeking an experienced Senior Learning Operations Lead to join the Learning Domain. As a key member of the central HR team, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how we build skills and grow careers by ensuring the design, development, and delivery of high-quality learning experiences.

The Learning Operations Hub, a newly established function within the organisation, aims to streamline and optimise administrative and operational processes across all learning products. This hub will serve as a central service model for HR squads and teams responsible for developing and delivering learning initiatives.

In this critical role, you will be tasked with driving productivity, creating efficient processes, and ensuring smooth learning operations. Your ultimate goal will be to enable our teams to deliver high-quality learning experiences that align with our strategic objectives for FY25 and beyond.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape a new function within our organisation. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader who is passionate about learning and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Learning Operations Hub team, ensuring they are engaged, productive, and aligned with organisational goals.
  • Develop and implement operational frameworks, standards, and guidelines for all learning-related activities.
  • Collaborate with Learning product owners and other HR professionals to ensure seamless delivery of learning programs.
  • Manage team budget, resources, and vendor relationships, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the hub, leveraging data and feedback to optimise processes.
  • Facilitate resolution of conflicts or challenges that may arise within the team or with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams, focusing on driving productivity and operational excellence.
  • Able to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with broader organisational goals.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to identify challenges, develop innovative solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Deep understanding of learning operations and program delivery.
  • Experience in leading change management efforts, particularly in setting up new teams or functions within an organisation.
  • Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in Agile principles, with proven experience operating in a matrixed organisation highly desirable.
  • Experience required: 5+ years in a learning and development or HR operations role, with strong focus on process optimisation and productivity.

Salary Range: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience
