About the Role

As a key member of our Maintenance Team at Thiess, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy earthmoving fleet. If you are a skilled and experienced Auto Electrician looking for a new challenge, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to achieve site production targets and maximize equipment utilization.
  • Conduct technical inspections and job estimations to identify and address any issues that may impact production.
  • Develop and implement effective solutions to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform pre-start checks to ensure equipment is in good working order.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A Trade Certificate in Automotive Electrical Fitting.
  • Previous open cut mining experience in the maintenance of a heavy earthmoving fleet.
  • Specific experience with Caterpillar Dump Trucks, Hitachi Excavators, and Ancillary Equipment.
  • Previous experience with air conditioning systems.
  • A HR drivers licence (desirable).
  • A proven commitment to health and safety at all times.
