About the Role

This exciting contract opportunity is for an experienced Data Engineer with a strong background in Snowflake implementation. As a key member of our team, you will lead Snowflake migrations and implementations, including legacy warehouse modernisation, schema design, and data optimisation.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud architecture, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks. They will also be proficient in SQL and ETL/ELT patterns, with excellent communication skills to engage both technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Snowflake migrations & implementations, including legacy warehouse modernisation, schema design, and data optimisation.
  • Design and deliver semantic data models to enable self-service analytics.
  • Integrate Snowflake with Power BI and other BI tools for enterprise reporting.
  • Leverage advanced Snowflake features such as data sharing, marketplace, Snowpark, and performance optimisation.
  • Drive DevOps & CI/CD practices, including automated testing and infrastructure as code.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects (Azure, AWS, or GCP) to align with enterprise strategies.
  • Ensure data governance and security best practices are embedded across platforms.
  • Engage and advise senior stakeholders on data strategies and project delivery.
