Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-focused individual to join our team as an Underground Diamond Drilling Assistant. As a key member of our drilling operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting our drilling activities and contributing to the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the handling and transportation of drilling equipment and supplies.
  • Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Identify and report potential hazards and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Collaborate with drilling teams to ensure smooth operations and achieve project goals.
Requirements
  • Current Australian manual driver's license.
  • National Police Clearance (within 3 months of issue).
  • Clear ability to speak, read, and write in fluent English.
  • A proactive attitude toward safety and hazard identification.
  • Ability to perform shift work and be away from home for extended periods.
  • Mechanical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen.
  • A positive work ethic aligned with Barminco's vision and principles.
  • Availability to attend an assessment centre for our selection process.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Working at Heights Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Previous experience in labour-intensive, physical roles.
  • Previous experience assisting exploration drilling operations.
