Excavator Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating excavators ranging from 2.5 to 8 tonne, excavating around water, gas or electrical assets, and performing general laboring tasks including site preparation and onsite support.

  • Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, skid steer, front end loader & backhoe
  • Excavate around live assets including water, gas or electrical infrastructure
  • Perform general laboring tasks including site preparation and onsite support

Our ideal candidate will have experience in operating heavy machinery, excavating around live assets, and working in a fast-paced construction environment. They will also possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Requirements
  • Valid Drivers Licence (MR or HR preferred) and Excavator Operator ticket
  • Experience excavating around live assets and operating machinery
  • OHS Construction Induction Card (White card)
  • Ability to work on sites across Greater Adelaide
  • Good work ethic and positive work attitude with the ability to work in a team
  • A strong focus on safety
