Clinical Registration Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Registration Specialist to join our team. This key role is crucial in ensuring seamless patient admissions and experiences.

Job Summary:

  • To perform accurate health fund checks to confirm patient eligibility for admission.
  • Advise patients on administrative information relating to their hospital stay.
  • Process clerical preadmission registrations via the Hospital Admission Booking System (HABS) or over the telephone in a timely manner.
  • Collect and document patient information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • Liaise with Practice Managers of Visiting Medical Practitioners (VMPs) for patient eligibility as required.
  • Provide coverage for staff absences and assist in the training of new staff.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and data entry skills.
  • Sound customer service skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Computer literacy and intermediate numeracy skills.
