Job Title: Domestic Services Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Domestic Services Assistant to join our residential team at our Tom Fitzgerald Residential Aged Care Home on a Part-Time basis.

This dynamic position rotates through three services: cleaning, laundry, and food services to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning resident rooms, office space, and staff rooms
  • Cleaning and maintaining storage areas
  • Maintaining stock levels and cleaners' room
  • Cleaning duplex bathrooms and laundries on a scheduled cycle
  • Cleaning duties as per schedule
  • Assisting the Food Services & Laundry teams when necessary
  • Abiding by Wintringham's infection control procedures

We are looking for candidates with the following:

  • Previous experience in a cleaning role (mandatory)
  • Have received, are planning to, or willing to receive an Influenza Vaccination
  • Knowledge and understanding of the special needs of older people
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to use cleaning equipment effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Physically able to perform required tasks
