We are a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of ophthalmic lenses, frames and sunglasses. Our team is dedicated to crafting high-quality eyewear and providing exceptional customer service. We are seeking a skilled Optical Worker to join our team at our Silverwater facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the health and safety of themselves and colleagues, executing production in line with defined group standards, and contributing to lab performance with regards to quality, costs, and service. They will also be required to optimize machine capacities, follow staffing plans, and communicate their motivation and needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing production in line with defined group standards
  • Contributing to lab performance with regards to quality, costs, and service
  • Optimizing machine capacities
  • Following staffing plans and adjustments
  • Communicating motivation and needs

Other critical requirements for the position include:

  • Experience in manual handling
  • Fine motor skills and ability to handle individual lenses carefully
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • High attention to detail
  • Reliable, punctual, proactive, enthusiastic

Candidates will receive the required training and induction on morning shifts, but may be rostered for shifts on either morning/afternoon or night shift after their training period.
