Holistic Indigenous Healthcare Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Aboriginal Health Practitioner to join our team at McLean Care, an innovative solution developed by Clinicians in Aged Care. As an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to Indigenous individuals and communities.
With our cutting-edge platform designed to harness the latest technological advances and tools, this role enables you to provide professional care advice from anywhere, at any time. Our Clinicians and Allied Health professionals work on rotating rosters to support a 24/7 service model.
About the Role- You will report to the iAgeHealth Manager and work collaboratively with our team to provide culturally sensitive care, health education, and advocacy to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
- To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Certificate III or higher in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care or equivalent.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner or eligible to obtain.
- Effective communication methods within an Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Health Practice Context.
- Demonstrated cultural knowledge and exercise cultural respect and safety at the individual and families' levels.
- Ability to write clear and precise English appropriate to resident's needs.
- Mature outlook with the ability to relate and converse with older people.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work both in a team and autonomously.
- Strong organisational and time management skills including the ability to establish priorities and plan work.
- Commitment to embrace, model and work within the core values of McLean Care Ltd.
- Excellent computer literacy.
- Current Drivers Licence.
The salary for this position is estimated to be between $60,000 and $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
