About the Role:

SA Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support individuals experiencing mental health challenges in their journey towards recovery.

The successful candidate will provide empathetic support, guidance, and advocacy to clients, drawing from their own lived experience with mental health challenges.

Duties:

  • Use lived experience expertise to support consumer skills in self-management, wellness, and safety planning.
  • Assist with communication flow between consumers and the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Take a lead role in ensuring consumer perspectives are taken into account in the provision of care.

About You:

  • Minimum Certificate 4 in Mental Health Peer Work or willingness to work towards.
  • High level skills in building connected and authentic trusting relationships with consumers.
  • Strong advocacy and partnership building skills to apply in a clinical mental health environment.
