Job Title: Speech Pathologist - Early Intervention Specialist

KU Children's Services is seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team. As an Early Intervention Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing a variety of supports for children aged birth to 12 years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain respectful relationships with a range of stakeholders, including families and other professionals.
  • Support the developmental needs of children through the administration and scoring of assessments, as well as report writing and providing feedback to families.
  • Work collaboratively with families and other professionals to develop and implement individualized plans that promote the child's overall development.
  • Contribute to maintaining a child-safe culture and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children in our services and programs.
Requirements:
  • Australian recognised tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology.
  • Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining respectful relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in supporting the developmental needs of children.
  • Experience in administering and scoring a range of assessments.
  • Experience in report writing and providing feedback to families.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and oral.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office package and online databases.
  • Meticulous time management and organisation skills.
  • Current drivers' license and use of a comprehensively insured, registered motor vehicle.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • NDIS Worker Check or willing to obtain.
  • A Medicare Provider number or willing to obtain.
