About the Role

The Director, Planning Environment & Place provides expert project-wide leadership and strategic direction for all Planning and Environment, Urban Design, and Sustainability matters.

The Level Crossing Removal Project is delivered via a matrixed organisational structure with several delivery teams, working in an Alliance model.

The Planning and Environment and Place teams support the delivery teams by establishing and operating management systems, providing expert advice and support on technical matters, facilitating relationships with regulators and stakeholders, and undertaking project work as co-located team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic approach and oversee the development, implementation and assurance of the Planning Environment and Place functions for the Level Crossing Removal Project.
  • Develop strong relationships across VIDA and with relevant regulators and stakeholders.
  • Exercise excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to pre-empt and mitigate project risks in relation to all Planning Environment and Place matters.
About You

You'll need to be resilient and flexible in your approach and apply your expert analytic and problem-solving skills when addressing various matters.
