Job Overview

The Westpac Group is seeking an experienced Risk Analyst to join our team. As an operational risk management specialist, you will play a key role in measuring and mitigating the risks associated with our operations.

About the Role

  • You will support the development and implementation of leading practice in operational risk measurement across the Group.
  • Your expertise in data analysis and quantitative modelling will help inform the assessment of existing and emerging operational risks.
  • You will work closely with stakeholders to manage and uplift the Group's internal loss data reconciliation process and submit ILD data to ORX.
  • Additionally, you will be responsible for downloading, maintaining external loss data received from ORX and performing data analytics and insights-based reporting on ILD and ELD data.

Key Requirements

  • A relevant undergraduate degree from a recognised university is desirable.
  • 3+ years' experience in data analysis or quantitative modelling is a must.
  • Experience working in financial services is essential.
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills are required.
  • High level of proficiency with data tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL is necessary.
  • Demonstrable experience leading change is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of risk management disciplines is a must.
  • Knowledge and experience in risk measurement or capital management are preferred.
