As a senior electrical engineer, you will lead the delivery of electrical and instrumentation engineering projects ensuring high-quality results.
This role involves working from initial concept through detailed design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems.
You will collaborate with engineers and designers to produce engineering deliverables and meet project milestones.
Additionally, you will manage multiple projects to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery while effectively managing risks.
Required Skills & Qualifications- 10+ years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering.
- Design exposure to LV and HV distribution systems, motor control centers, and switchboards.
- RPEQ registration is required.
- Experience with PTW and eTap is preferred but not essential.
- PLC and remote IO control system design experience.
- Material handling and process plant instrumentation design experience.
- Layout design including cable routing, equipment layouts, and substation layouts.
- Exposure to open pit and underground mining electrical infrastructure design.
- HV and LV power system modeling and protection design.
- Experience in mining, oil & gas, water, and infrastructure sectors.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent in Electrical, Instrument and Control or Mechatronics and be able to work independently on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines.
A strong focus on safety in design and ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to client standards are also essential.
