The Role

We are seeking a Laundry Assistant to join our team, who is experienced in working in aged care homes and has a strong understanding of laundry services. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and sorting clothing, as well as cleaning and disinfecting laundry and linen in accordance with our infection control protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and sort clothing and linen for cleaning and disinfection
  • Clean and disinfect laundry and linen using commercial laundry equipment
  • Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organized laundry area
  • Work collaboratively with the laundry team to achieve high-quality laundry services
Requirements
  • Valid National Police check (specific to work in aged care)
  • Demonstrated experience working in laundry services in a commercial or aged care setting
  • Good knowledge of hygiene standards and infection control
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Availability to work Monday to Thursday, 7am to 12pm
