Tyre Fit Technician Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced tyre fitter to join our team at Costco AU on the Gold Coast. The successful candidate will be responsible for balancing, installing, repairing, and rotating tyres.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate II in Tyre Fitting, a current unrestricted driver's licence, and previous experience in a similar role. They will also possess strong mechanical aptitude, tyre knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions
  1. Lifts and loads tyres onto a dolly and transfers them to the install area.
  2. Attaches new valve stems, mounts new tyres on wheels, and fills tyres to the appropriate air pressure.
  3. Operates automatic balance machines to get readings of proper weight and placement to balance wheels.
  4. Re-attaches wheels to vehicles using impact guns and hand torque wrenches according to tyre centre procedures.
Qualifications/Skills
  • Certificate II in Tyre Fitting.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability, tyre or comparable experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
