About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Fitter and Turner. Located in Mount Isa, you will be working in a supportive and professional environment with personal development opportunities.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Rebuilding damaged hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and valves;
  • Maintaining hydraulic power units and systems;
  • Fault finding hydraulic circuits and control systems;
  • Installing hydraulic power units, tubes, and hoses;
  • Modifying hydraulic systems and operations for improved performance;
  • Operating machinery to produce parts by turning, boring, milling, honing, grinding, or drilling metal stock or components;
  • Carrying out welding repairs and fabricating sub-frames;
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment;
  • Developing a good understanding of fits, finishes, and tolerances;
  • Maintaining an apprentice log book to a high standard.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including personal development opportunities, a supportive team culture, and a clean and safe work environment.
