Construction Site Lead

About the Role
As a Construction Site Lead with Ventia, you will direct a team of multi-disciplined trade-based personnel in support of project-based construction activities. The travel area covers Northern Queensland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Environment: Ensure a strong safety culture, address incidents swiftly, communicate effectively through toolboxes, pre-starts, and safety alerts, adhere to policies and procedures, and ensure required permits are issued on time.
- Program and Resource Management: Conduct construction walk-outs, plan, scope, and manage site works to ensure efficient delivery and timely completion. Manage subcontractors, escalate issues, conduct daily inspections of staff and works, report and liaise with stakeholders, and ensure practical completions are completed and submitted on time.
- Quality: Promote no re-work, perform quality audits, and ensure contractual compliance is met.
- Community and Stakeholder Involvement: Understand community and stakeholder requirements from FSA Management and actively manage these requirements on site during construction.
- Leadership: Foster a team culture of ownership and excellence.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated supervisory experience in a related industry or construction, hold a trade qualification or supervisory qualifications, possess competent computer skills, hold a current driver's license, a construction white card, and asbestos management, traffic control, and first aid certifications (or be willing to undertake training). You must also have full working rights in Australia.
