Immunopathology is a highly specialized field that requires skilled professionals to perform laboratory tests and diagnose diseases.

Job Summary

We are seeking an Immunopathology Specialist to work in our Immunopathology Laboratory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests, including immunoassay, autoimmune serology, immunochemistry, and allergy testing.

Responsibilities
  • Performing laboratory tests with a high level of expertise in the discipline of immunopathology.
  • Ensuring all laboratory activities are carried out in accordance with NSW Health Pathology and NSW Health policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree or higher degree in Science or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in delivering pathology services relevant to the laboratory, including use of Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems, and Quality Control Systems.
  • Demonstrated recent knowledge and experience in at least one or two of the following: performing and interpreting protein electrophoreses and immunofixation, performing and reading Immunofluorescence slides, ELISA, Phadia 250, and processing biopsy material for direct immunofluorescence.
