Palliative Care Specialist Role
We are seeking a highly skilled specialist to join our team in delivering high-quality palliative care services. The successful candidate will be working within the Southern NSW Palliative Care Services, assisting with the delivery of inpatient, outpatient and community clinical palliative care services.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing specialist palliative care services to patients across Southern NSW LHD
- Maintaining professional competence in palliative care
- Working collaboratively with healthcare teams and senior medical staff
- Undertaking teaching and research opportunities as they present
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and a passion for palliative medicine. You must have MBBS or equivalent, current registration with the Medical Board of Australia, and Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (FAChPM) of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
Key Qualifications and Skills
Required qualifications include an MBBS or equivalent, current registration with the Medical Board of Australia, and Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (FAChPM) of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). In addition, the following skills are essential:
- Demonstrated expertise in palliative care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
