We offer an attractive salary package, estimated at $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

As our Grossing Technician, you'll play a critical role in our histology laboratory. Your primary responsibility will be accurate grossing and processing of non-complex specimens and tissue in accordance with RCPA cut-up guidelines.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Verifying specimen reception accuracy, ensuring proper case prioritization, billing, and patient details.
• Maintaining equipment readiness for daily operations.
• Accurately documenting clinical notes and macroscopic descriptions.
• Performing high-quality cut-ups in accordance with protocols.
• Conducting quality checks of information entered by specimen reception.
• Referencing complex cases to senior staff or pathologists.
• Notifying supervisors of any issues or questions concerning specimen cut-up.
• Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting tissue processors according to manuals.
• Pursuing continuous education and improving laboratory processes.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A degree in science, applied science, medical technology, or relevant experience in Histology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to exercise initiative while maintaining interpersonal sensitivity.
• Prioritization and task management skills, with the ability to delegate effectively.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.
• An extensive understanding of laboratory operations and their impact on other areas of the practice.
