About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Softtest Pays. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in defining data solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics and SQL Managed Instance, and work in the Data Platforms section to deliver these solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define data solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics and SQL Managed Instance
  • Assist in the migration of existing data processes to the new platform
  • Develop and maintain relevant project and design documentation
  • Work within the Data Platforms section to consume and implement recommended practices
  • Apply judgement and critical thinking skills to problem solve
Requirements
  • Proven experience with Microsoft stack technologies, specifically SQL Managed Instance, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services
  • High level of competency with SQL programming
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in developing and maintaining relevant documentation
Desirable Criteria
  • Tertiary qualifications in data analysis, data engineering, or data management
  • Ability to build the technical capability and knowledge of other staff members
  • Experience with delivering solutions using a data warehouse platform and processes
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms or an understanding of cloud concepts for data-related services
