Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Risk and Resilience Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining TAL's Business Continuity capabilities through various initiatives.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to refine TAL's Business Impact Analysis and Business Continuity Plan documentation, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with Technology and Business teams to develop process maps and dependencies, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Strengthen TAL's Business Continuity practices by analyzing potential disruption scenarios and developing workaround/recovery strategies.
  • Serve as a liaison between Business Continuity and Crisis Management teams, fostering relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract opportunity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority (APRA) requirements and Critical Operations, tolerance levels, and Business Continuity practices.
  • Ability to review, challenge, and develop pragmatic solutions to refine impact tolerance levels.
  • Strong business analysis skills, including process mapping, dependency identification, and relationship management.
  • Excellent understanding of Business Continuity, Resilience Management Frameworks, and internal control frameworks, including their relationship to IT Service Continuity practices.
  • Proven stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiating skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and lead scenario-based disruption test exercises.
  • Familiarity with the life insurance industry.
