Job Description:\\

We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to join our clinical education team as a Clinical Education Liaison Manager. This role is designed for a skilled clinician looking to apply their expertise in educating the next generation of healthcare professionals.

\

This part-time (40% FTE) continuing position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of clinical education programs, while also advancing your own professional growth and development.

\

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the university and beyond.

\
Key Responsibilities:\
  • Manage student placements to ensure balanced experiences that meet accreditation requirements.\
  • Develop and deliver education and training strategies for practice educators on facilitation of learning and assessment of student clinical practice.\
  • Liaise and negotiate with stakeholders to develop and evaluate new and existing placement opportunities.\
  • Provide support and advice to students in the clinical education context, informed by professional, ethical, legal, and organisational standards.\

Required Skills and Qualifications:\

To be successful in this role, you will need:

\
  • A degree in Speech Pathology with a minimum of 5 years relevant clinical experience.\
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the clinical education of students.\
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including collaboration, negotiation, and conflict management.\
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present at a range of forums.\
  • Self-motivation, ability to assume responsibility, problem-solve, and take initiative to enhance operational and strategic outcomes.\
  • High-level organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.\
