Job Role

We provide support to more than 130,000 people to live independently at home and across our retirement living communities and residential aged care homes.

The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality services by providing leadership and coaching to senior staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance and direction to ensure quality resident services and achievement of operational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement to drive consistency and sustainability.
  • Develop marketing strategies and relationships with external providers to enhance Home occupancy.
  • Prepare financial forecasts to inform business decisions.
  • Lead the development of team members through guidance, coaching and feedback.
  • Assume a key role in workforce planning, including recruitment, leave management, succession planning and performance management.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification/s in management or business (desired).
  • Registered Nurse (essential).
  • Significant experience working in a senior capacity in aged or health care.
  • Demonstrated expertise in operational management, including human resources, leadership and motivation, budgeting and service delivery.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Broad understanding of legislation and regulatory requirements affecting aged care.
  • Ability to empower staff to take initiative and responsibility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and organizational software products.
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Solution-focused with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Valid Australian work rights and willingness to undergo a police check.
  • NDIS workers check prior to commencement.
