The Opportunity

A motivated Highway Infrastructure Specialist will join our dynamic Softwoods team in Bathurst, working on a mix of outdoor and office-based projects in a sustainable industry.

Job Description

The Highway Infrastructure Specialist supports operational performance by planning and implementing road infrastructure works, ensuring cost-effectiveness, safety, and timely delivery. This role involves procurement activities, contractor engagement, and management.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of operations management, preferably in roading;
  • Demonstrated skills in using technologies and systems for operations planning, including GIS experience;
  • Experience in writing work operations plans;
  • Prior forestry management experience, including road building or design, harvesting, silviculture, weed and pest control, fire management, and suppression;
  • Organisational skills, being able to plan, prioritise, meet standards, and deadlines;
  • Contractor performance monitoring for compliance;
  • Capacity and willingness to undertake fire and fuel management duties, firefighting, and extensive travel;
