About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Home and Community Support Worker to join our team at Goodwin Aged Care Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients to maintain their independence and quality of life in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Domestic Support: Assist clients with daily living tasks, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Personal Care: Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Transport: Safely transport clients to appointments and social events.
  • Shopping: Accompany clients on shopping trips and assist with grocery shopping.
  • Medication Administration: Assist clients with medication management and administration.
  • Respite Care: Provide temporary care and support to clients, giving their primary caregivers a break.
  • Socialisation: Engage clients in social activities, such as outings, games, and conversation.
  • Other Support Tasks: Perform other tasks as required to support clients in their daily lives.
Essential Qualifications
  • Certificate III Individual Support (Aged Care/Home & Community): A qualification in individual support, aged care, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Australian Driver's Licence: A valid driver's licence is required to transport clients.
  • Motor Vehicle: A reliable motor vehicle with current registration and full comprehensive insurance is required for work purposes.
  • Mobile Phone: A mobile phone with sufficient credit and data is required for work purposes.
  • Medication Skill Set: A medication skill set is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Experience in delivering care outcomes for older people and achieving outcomes and skill development is highly desirable.
  • Sound Level Skills: Sound level skills in office systems, procedures, documentation, and record keeping are essential.
  • Ability to Work with Limited Supervision: The ability to work with limited supervision is essential.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders are essential.
