BESIX Watpac is seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Indigenous Affairs Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing Indigenous Affairs initiatives to achieve employment and engagement outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Indigenous Relations and Partnerships
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with Traditional Owner groups, local Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities, social procurement organizations, and associated government agencies.
- Reconciliation Action Plan
- Develop, deliver, and report on the BESIX Watpac Reconciliation Action Plan and action items.
- Indigenous Participation and Procurement
- Support BESIX Watpac projects to deliver initiatives that support project targets for Indigenous participation and procurement.
- Project Bids and Tenders
- Support and provide input into project bids and tenders.
- Indigenous Staff Network
- Provide support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees at BESIX Watpac, including leadership of the BESIX Watpac Indigenous Staff Network.
- Qualifications and Experience
- Prior experience in an Indigenous relations role and demonstrated connection with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities and organizations.
- Demonstrated experience with developing and implementing Indigenous Affairs initiatives to achieve employment and engagement outcomes.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to regularly travel to other offices and sites as required.
