About the Role

BESIX Watpac is seeking a highly skilled and experienced National Indigenous Affairs Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing Indigenous Affairs initiatives to achieve employment and engagement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Indigenous Relations and Partnerships
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Traditional Owner groups, local Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities, social procurement organizations, and associated government agencies.
  • Reconciliation Action Plan
    • Develop, deliver, and report on the BESIX Watpac Reconciliation Action Plan and action items.
  • Indigenous Participation and Procurement
    • Support BESIX Watpac projects to deliver initiatives that support project targets for Indigenous participation and procurement.
  • Project Bids and Tenders
    • Support and provide input into project bids and tenders.
  • Indigenous Staff Network
    • Provide support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees at BESIX Watpac, including leadership of the BESIX Watpac Indigenous Staff Network.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Prior experience in an Indigenous relations role and demonstrated connection with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities and organizations.
    • Demonstrated experience with developing and implementing Indigenous Affairs initiatives to achieve employment and engagement outcomes.
    • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
    • Ability to regularly travel to other offices and sites as required.
