About the Role:

The Sector Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of organisational values, strategy and processes through the development and maintenance of knowledge, practice, process and documentation for sectors or schemes within the nominated portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relate conformity assessment to stakeholder needs by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
  • Support regulatory initiatives by engaging with industry, regulators and scheme owners to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Participate in technical discussions and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain sector-specific knowledge and best practices.
  • Manage knowledge transfer and allocated scheme committees to facilitate information sharing and collaboration among team members.
  • Undertake assessments, support assessors and identify talent for the assessment pool to ensure consistency and quality in conformity assessment services.
  • Coach and mentor assessors and technical specialists to enhance their skills and knowledge in environmental sustainability and conformity assessment.
  • Undertake projects and contribute to internal system improvements to drive business growth and excellence.

Key Interfaces:

  • Management, staff and contractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Certification and Inspection Bodies to provide guidance and support on conformity assessment services.
  • Industry, community, scheme owners and technical committees to engage with stakeholders and promote industry best practices.
  • Government and regulatory officials to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
