Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing data architectures, integrating data from various sources, and optimizing data pipelines to ensure efficient and accurate data processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data architectures, including databases and processing systems
  • Integrate data from various sources and ensure data quality and reliability
  • Optimize data pipelines for scalability and performance
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes and data transformation solutions
  • Apply data security measures and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations
  • Create and maintain documentation related to data systems design and maintenance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide effective data solutions

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team in Australia. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing data architectures that meet the needs of our clients. You will work closely with our development team to integrate data from various sources and optimize data pipelines for maximum efficiency.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or Java
  • Experience with ETL processes and data integration
  • Working knowledge of data modeling and database design principles
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka is a plus
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
