About This Opportunity
\We are seeking an experienced Marine Biogeochemist to contribute to the development of regulatory frameworks that support the growth of Australian aquaculture.
\The successful candidate will work on a project focused on Integrated Multitrophic Aquaculture (IMTA) and be responsible for delivering technical outcomes that underpin biogeochemical models for IMTA.
\Key responsibilities include measuring biogeochemical parameters in marine environmental samples, providing high-level technical support, and collaborating with colleagues to drive scientific quality and excellence.

\We are a key economic development agency working in partnership with primary industries and regional stakeholders to advance the prosperity and sustainability of South Australia's regions and food, wine, aquaculture, fisheries, forestry, grains, livestock, dairy, and horticulture industries.
\Our team of around 800 people works across metropolitan and regional South Australia to develop and protect the state's regions and industries.
\Requirements

- A post-graduate degree in Science with a major in biology, oceanography, marine/biochemistry, or related field is required.\
- A PhD or equivalent in a relevant field of science specialising in biological oceanography, marine chemistry, aquatic biogeochemistry, marine ecology, or marine science with relevant analytical experience is desirable.\
Working Conditions
\- \
- The position is based out of SARDI's West Beach facility and the Lincoln Marine Science Centre.\
- Regular travel between sites, including offshore aquaculture leases in the Port Lincoln region, may be required.\
- Out-of-hours work and interstate travel may also be necessary.\
