Senior Property Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Property Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property accounting, with excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently.

About the Role

This is a hybrid role that offers 2-3 days in our office and 1-2 days on-site at one of Melbourne's significant retail centres. As a Senior Property Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparation and review of month-end reporting, including variance commentaries
  • Analysis of centre performance through monthly and quarterly reports
  • Maintenance of tight control over operating costs while liaising with Centre Management
  • Delivery of accurate and timely client financial reporting
  • Assistance in annual property budgets and periodic reforecasts
Responsibilities

As a Senior Property Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and reviewing month-end financial statements
  • Analyzing centre performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Liaising with Centre Management to maintain tight control over operating costs
  • Delivering accurate and timely financial reporting to clients
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual property budgets and periodic reforecasts
