We are seeking a highly skilled Naval Engineer to join our team at Navantia Australia Pty Ltd. in Melbourne, Docklands.
As a key member of our Naval Design and Engineering Centre, you will be responsible for providing high-level engineering technical competence based on relevant experience and knowledge.
You will work on exciting new naval ship designs, applying robust systems engineering processes, and collaborating with industry leaders and like-minded engineers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-level engineering technical competence based on relevant experience and knowledge.
- Complete design for naval ship systems, applying robust systems engineering processes.
- Undertake technical investigations, root cause analysis, and solution identification.
- Integrate platforms on naval vessels.
- Deliver technical reports and technical documentation in accordance with established Navantia and customer standards.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary Qualification in Engineering or technical experience within the Naval domain.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high-pressure environment and manage, prioritise, and complete multiple tasks concurrently.
- Capacity to provide technical assessment based on engineering calculations.
- Ability to work collaboratively, but also operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships at all levels of the business and clients.
