Role Responsibilities

The Asset Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring statutory obligations are maintained and monitored across the portfolio. The role interacts with all elements of the asset life cycle from the point of acquisition to disposal.

  • Support the Manager, Asset Data and Integrity in leading continuous improvement initiatives, managing and mitigating risk, undertaking asset data collection, asset stocktakes, spatial efficiency initiatives and stakeholder engagement in TAFE SA's Enterprise Asset Management System.
  • Responsible for the physical validation and data collection of TAFE SA asset management information across the asset portfolio.
  • Participate in spatial efficiency initiatives and the review of existing Facilities operations historic data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Promote and support customer focussed asset safety documentation and initiatives aligned with the WHS Plant and Equipment Management Operations Manual including undertaking risk assessments and safe operating procedures in a large operational environment.
Requirements:
  • Well-developed ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with a diverse range of customers, prepare concise reports with appropriate recommendations and negotiate with others to achieve acceptable outcomes.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under general direction, either independently or within a team, identify and respond effectively to the requirements of a diverse range of customers and manage high volumes of work to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in the understanding and application of all aspects Plant and Equipment Operations including the completion of all safety related documentation.
  • Experience in the effective and efficient capture of asset related data, including safety documentation, asset history, condition and compliance information, utilisation, performance and life cycle modelling.
  • Detailed understanding of Work, Health and Safety Act 2012 as it applies to occupiers of buildings and owners of plant and experience in the management requirements of the maintenance and servicing of building, plant and equipment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal Culture and Community.
