About the Organisation
This is a unique opportunity to work as an External Auditor with a strong mid-tier firm that has existed for over 75 years and offers a range of specialist services. The organisation is looking to expand their audit division and offer challenging projects to experienced professionals.
The firm has 8 directors and 4 offices across Queensland, with its main office in Toowoomba where the Audit team is situated. However, they are open to having the right candidate work from their Brisbane office.
You will have the chance to work across a broad range of clients, including those in the non-profit, company, trust account, indigenous corporation, and self-managed super fund sectors, all with turnovers of up to $50 million.
About the Role
- Work on audits for various clients, preparing audit reports and financial statements using CaseWare 365 software.
- Test internal controls in preparation for audits, working in the audit and assurance division with a team of auditors directly reporting to the Partner of the division.
- Conduct audit planning and completion procedures, ensuring high-quality results.
Skills and Experience Required
- A minimum of 2+ years' experience in external audit in an Australian or New Zealand public practice firm.
- Familiarity with GAAP, IFRS, and standards from the IAASB.
- Ability to build long-lasting relationships with clients.
- Access to a car and ability to visit clients across Brisbane.
- Positive attitude, respect for colleagues, and a willingness to work in a team environment.
