About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Eraring Power Station. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing technical and engineering services to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our plant.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical fitting, with experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics. They will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment and have a strong commitment to safety.

In this role, you will work closely with operators and senior mechanical fitters to provide technical advice and support. You will also be responsible for maintaining and keeping functional all mechanical systems, managing multiple tasks simultaneously and ensuring sound communication and positive working relationships with all stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant trade course certificate and craftsman's certificate of proficiency
  • Willingsness to work day or shift work as required
  • Knowledge and experience of plant, equipment, materials and maintenance methods used in power stations or similar heavy industry
  • Knowledge of plant operation, the inter-related effects of plant items and the consequences of plant failure
  • Sound knowledge and commitment to safety methods
  • Proven prioritising, planning and problem-solving capabilities
