Job Description

As an Aviation Adviser, you will be a key member of our Operations Support team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of aviation activities across our Australian assets.

You will provide technical leadership and assurance, as well as strategic input to rotary and fixed-wing operations, with a strong focus on offshore helicopter activities.

This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned aviation professional with deep technical expertise and a passion for safety, standards, and stakeholder engagement.

">Responsibilities
  • Champion our safety culture in aviation operations.
  • Ensure that risks have appropriate and effective controls in place.
  • Lead and document aviation audits, ensuring timely closure of actions.
  • Serve as SME in aviation event reviews and incident investigations.
  • Manage Technical Integrity changes and deviations relevant to aviation in accordance with the Integrity Management Standard.
  • Provide after-hours technical support and participate in the Incident Management Team.
  • Maintain and update our aviation standards and guidelines.
  • Advise on the application of industry standards and regulations (CASA, ICAO, IOGP, CAP 437).
  • Participate in aircraft operator tendering and approve acceptable operators.
  • Monitor performance against KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
  • Engage in communities of practice and internal stakeholder forums.
  • Represent us with external stakeholders, including service providers, regulators, and OEMs as required.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Deep knowledge of rotary wing aircraft performance and operations; fixed-wing experience desirable.
  • Strong understanding of offshore helicopter operations and relevant regulations.
  • Lead auditor experience with Quality auditing standards (ISO9001, AS9100).
  • Proficiency in Aviation Safety Management Systems.
  • Demonstrated success in managing external stakeholders.
  • Technically competent with aviation-related digital systems.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in aviation, with a focus on offshore oil and gas environments.
  • Commercial Helicopter Pilot Licence (CPL(H)) or Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL(H)).
