About the Role:

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced fraud investigator to join our client's team in a highly regulated environment. As an APS 6 Level Fraud Investigator, you will play a vital role in investigating complex fraud cases and contributing to the success of a world-class national initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct complex criminal investigations following Australian Government Investigation Standards.
  • Prepare and present briefs of evidence to external agencies like the AFP and Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions.
  • Assist in strategic planning, policy development, and program management for fraud prevention initiatives.
  • Provide expert advice and support on complex issues, ensuring investigations are thorough and efficient.
  • Conduct interviews, collect evidence, and provide testimony in criminal and civil court.
  • Participate in executing search warrants, with potential domestic travel and overnight stays.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced fraud investigator with a focus on accuracy, integrity, and leadership. You will have a Certificate IV in Government Investigations (or equivalent) and strong interviewing and statement-taking abilities.

  • Essential skills:
    • Certificate IV in Government Investigations (or equivalent).
    • Strong interviewing and statement-taking abilities.
    • Expertise in preparing briefs of evidence and investigation plans.
    • Excellent risk management skills.
  • Desirable skills:
    • Background in traditional law enforcement.
    • Additional qualifications in investigations.
    • Experience working in high-stakes environments.
