The Opportunity

As a senior consultant or manager within the valuation modelling and economics team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice to clients on preserving, optimising, raising or investing capital. You will work closely with clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored solutions that address their commercial, financial reporting, tax, regulatory and strategic challenges.

This role involves working within small project teams to undertake valuations of businesses and intangible assets for various purposes including management planning, mergers and acquisitions, tax, financial reporting and disputes. You will take ownership of project delivery, managing and preparing valuation reports that may include assessment of strategic options for transformation initiatives and detailed financial modelling and analysis.

You will have the opportunity to think critically, identify issues and propose strategies related to the advice being provided. This requires excellent analytical, communication, organisational, interpersonal and teaming skills, as well as the ability to maintain positive, productive and professional relationships with client personnel, other EY project teams and colleagues.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree and approximately 3 to 7 years of related work experience
  • A degree in finance, economics, accounting or business, with demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Direct experience utilising various valuation techniques and methodologies (market comparables, discounted cash flow, etc) for different purposes
  • Experience in financial modelling in MS Excel and related software preferred
  • Experience conducting valuations for accounting and or tax planning purposes is desired
