Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to oversee our Safety Portfolio through project delivery services and remote technical assistance to clients in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Safety Portfolio includes Collision Avoidance Systems, Fatigue Management Systems, and Vehicle Intervention Systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring technology systems operate effectively at customer sites and deliver tangible value to their operations.
  • Deploying and upgrading systems, working closely with project managers for successful delivery outcomes.
  • Assisting with installation, commissioning, and supporting technology from offices and on-site in remote locations.

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will:

  • Partner with customers to provide technical support resolving technical issues on technology systems.
  • Maintain, enhance, and adhere to documentation and reporting standards, systems, and processes.
  • Comply with Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures, participating in audits, and compliance instructions regarding health and safety.

Key qualifications and skills required for this role include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Software/Mechatronics or Electronics Engineering, computer science, or related fields.
  • Prior experience within mining, ideally across Fleet Management Systems/safety system product suites.
  • Experience with Linux OS and shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of C++ or Objective-C programming languages.
  • Experience with relational (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server) or NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
  • Global experience desirable.

Initiative, self-drive, agility, customer-centricity, solution focus, collaboration, and the ability to thrive in dynamic environments are essential skills for this role. Valid Australian working rights are also required.
