Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Macro Recruitment. As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and rebuilding heavy-duty mining and construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Servicing, repairing, and rebuilding heavy-duty mining and construction equipment following OEM guidelines.
  • Fault-finding and diagnosing equipment malfunctions, either independently or in consultation with the team to determine the best repair methods.
  • Accurately processing returns of unused or irreparable materials.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience with heavy machinery, ideally within the mining industry.
  • Relevant Trade Qualification in Heavy Vehicle/Diesel Mechanic works.
  • Experience in servicing, diagnosing, and fault identification in large-scale earthmoving equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system drawings and schematics.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Current Australian driver's license.
  • Permanent residency in Australia.
  • Advantageous: CAT dealer training is highly regarded.
