Instrumental Drums Teacher Position

Description of Role

The Instrumental Drums Teacher will provide instrumental instructions on percussion instruments to students at a secondary college.

  • Direct instructing of percussion instruments to groups of students and individual students;
  • Rehearsal and contribution to concert band(s).
  • Contribution to the development, implementation and evaluation of the Music curriculum area within the school;
  • Undertaking other related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Ability to instruct and demonstrate percussion instruments at all levels from beginning to VCE;
  • Capacity to work with colleagues to continually improve student learning;
  • High level written and verbal communication skills and high level interpersonal skills.
