Forklift Operator

Job Description:

Border Express is seeking an experienced forklift operator to join our team in Wetherill Park Branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of freight within the branch.

This role requires a high level of physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive lifting tasks. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience operating a forklift, with excellent attitude and work ethic.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking safe and effective loading, unloading, movement, restraint and storage of freight as required.
  • Taking additional care with freight to ensure no damages.
  • Always checking load restraint, packaging and the condition of freight before it travels.
  • Reporting all damages to freight or forklift to supervisor immediately.
  • Ensuring all pallet paperwork and Dangerous Goods paperwork is checked and completed accurately.
  • Ensuring there are no Dangerous Goods compatibility issues when loading and unloading.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience in the transport industry is essential, with minimum 2 years' experience operating a forklift.

Ability to adhere to WHS and Safety Regulations is a must.

Excellent local knowledge of Sydney and surrounding areas is desirable.
