Geotechnical Engineers play a vital role in shaping the future of mining projects.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field and be certified as a CPEng/RPEQ. They should also have demonstrated experience in planning, investigation, assessment, design, and construction of tailings and water dams and waste storage.

Familiarity with ANCOLD/ICOLD/GISTM/CDA guidelines and standards is highly desirable. The successful applicant will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in geotechnical software, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, supervise, interpret, and report on field investigation programs
  • Perform analysis and design of mine waste management facilities using software packages such as GeoStudio, Rocscience, MUK3D, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Prepare engineering reports, drawings, specifications, presentations, and bills of quantities using MS Office software and AutoCAD
  • Conduct monitoring and supervision of bulk earthworks construction for quality assurance and provide on-the-ground design advice to clients and contractors
Attributes & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field
  • CPEng/RPEQ certification or eligibility to apply within 12 months of joining
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, investigation, assessment, design, and construction of tailings and water dams and waste storage
  • Familiarity with ANCOLD/ICOLD/GISTM/CDA guidelines and standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software and tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
