We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Midwife to join our team at The State of Queensland, working in partnership with the wider multidisciplinary team to provide woman and family centered, quality, safe patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver contemporary, evidence-based midwifery services in the Antenatal Clinic, demonstrating competence in the provision of midwifery care as specified by achievement of the standards of practice and registration requirements from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
- Provide direct midwifery care with clinical competence and capability, optimising the perinatal journey of women and their families and enabling woman-centered care with enhanced access to services.
- Support excellence in midwifery care and patient outcomes, providing comprehensive assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of midwifery care.
- Communicate effectively with members of the healthcare team, patients, relatives, and visitors, displaying a high level of professional midwifery care.
- Contribute to quality improvement processes and ongoing professional development.
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine-preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.
