About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate to join our Corporate/M&A team at Corrs Chambers Westgarth.

As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in advising clients on complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, and foreign investment review board (FIRB) matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality legal advice to clients on corporate transactions, including due diligence, negotiation, and documentation.
  • Work closely with senior lawyers and clients to identify and mitigate risks, and develop creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Conduct research and analysis to stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations, and apply this knowledge to advise clients.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including tax, finance, and regulatory, to provide comprehensive advice to clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, and provide exceptional client service.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of post-qualification experience in a top-tier or mid-tier firm, with a strong background in corporate/M&A law.
  • Demonstrated experience working on complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, and FIRB matters.
  • High attention to detail, strong drafting skills, and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
