**Job Title:** Design Draftsperson

  • **Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare engineering calculations, concept designs, 3D modeling, general arrangements, and detailed designs, including minor structural work.
  • Issue accurate manufacturing drawings to fabricators.
  • Review and check drawings generated by others to ensure compliance with relevant standards and project specifications.
  • Use existing Inventor models from the library to streamline the process from concept to detailed manufacturing drawings.
  • Liaise with clients and suppliers regarding drawing issues and ensure all designs meet project and industry standards.
  • Contribute to innovative mechanical sampling projects while working within a skilled and collaborative technical team.

Requirements:

  • A high level of proficiency with AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • Strong experience in engineering design and calculations.
  • Evidence of tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant trade qualification.
  • Draftsperson experience preferably in mechanical or industrial projects.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • A current driver's license.
