Job Overview

Spotlight Retail Group, a leading Australian retailer with over 50 years of experience and 135 stores across the country, is seeking a skilled Department Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales growth.

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced retail professional who can manage high-volume stock efficiently, execute merchandising plans effectively, and lead a team of talented individuals to deliver outstanding results. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the management team, driving sales growth, leading their team to deliver excellent customer service, managing inventory, and executing merchandising plans to align with business standards.

Requirements:

  • Retail management experience is essential
  • High-volume stock management skills are highly preferred
  • Strong leadership style and ability to inspire and motivate their team
  • Positive attitude and goal-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • First aid certification or willingness to complete training
  • Strong computer skills and ability to manage inventory and reporting tools
  • Visual merchandising skills and ability to work with planograms and promotional activities
  • Business acumen and ability to work with sales and stock reports
